Our process
1. Book Your Appointment
Choose a convenient time using our online scheduler and complete payment to confirm your visit. You’ll receive a confirmation email immediately.
2. Send Your Records
Reply to the confirmation email with your X-rays, photos, and existing treatment plan (if available). If you don’t have everything, send what you can.
3. Get Your Second Opinion
Your dentist reviews your records before the visit, then meets with you for a 20-minute secure video consultation to explain findings, discuss options, and answer your questions.

No. You can upload any recent X-rays your dentist already took. If something is missing, I’ll let you know.
How long is the consultation?
Most video consultations last 15–20 minutes.
Can you prescribe antibiotics or pain medication?
Only when medically appropriate and allowed under California telehealth laws.
Will you replace my primary dentist?
No. This service provides unbiased second opinions only. You may continue all care with your existing dentist.
Is insurance accepted?
No — this is a cash-based flat-rate consult. However, HSA/FSA funds may be used in many cases.
Can you diagnose a toothache or emergency issue?
Yes — I can review your symptoms and X-rays, determine likely causes, and guide you on the next recommended steps.
Do you offer Invisalign or aligner consultations?
Yes — you can book a Virtual Aligner Consult to review your smile goals, evaluate whether you’re a candidate, and understand realistic timelines and costs.
Can I book an in-person exam after my virtual consult?
Yes — you can request a priority exam at Smiles4OC if an in-person visit is recommended.
How do I upload X-rays?
You’ll receive a secure form link after booking to upload X-rays and treatment plans before your appointment.
